The Low FODMAP approach booklets were revised again in March 2013.
The booklets which are only available from Kings College London to Dietitians have been reviewed and revapmed following further food testing at Monash University in Australia.
As a Dietitian, who attended Kings College for advanced training on this diet in 2011, I’m really pleased that the booklets have been updated and are now more user friendly from the clients perspective.
Its great to see a few new editions and surprising to see a few removed from the list of foods to avoid. Hopefully these changes will further increase the already great success rates amongst those suffering with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and its debilitating bowel symptoms. The high sucess rates are literally down to the support from a Dietitian who practically understands the diet in great detail thus clients can follow the plan correctly.
Looking forward to attending Kings College for the refresher course in June at being one of the most up-to-date FODMAP trained dietitians in the country!!.
