Ellen Roche Registered Dietitian & Founder of Nutri Vive
Qualifications
Ellen initially studied at UCC Cork, graduating with a BSc. (Hons) Nutritional Sciences in 2003. Following research and development work in the Australian food industry, she decided to further her studies to become a Dietitian and completed a two year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Hospital Experience
Ellen then returned home from the UK to take up the role of Clinical Nutritionist at Portlaoise Hospital. For more than five years, Ellen enjoyed working in the rewarding area of Intensive Care and facilitating patient recovery after major surgical operations. Dietetic experience was also gained in the areas of Paediatrics (children), Cardiology, Diabetes and General Medicine.
At Nutri Vive Nutrition Consultancy
We provide a professional nutrition advice service to assist clients of all ages who present with a wide variety of nutrition concerns. Ellen has a special interest in helping clients to achieve weight loss, boost sports performance and to alleviate digestive disorders. Our core aim is to always works with the client in a non-judgemental manner to achieve personal goals.
Over the years, Ellen has had the pleasure of working in conjunction with several prominent inter-county and club GAA teams. She is currently Team Dietitian for the Wexford Senior Hurlers & the Waterford Senior Ladies Football Teams.
In 2011, Ellen was one of a very limited number of Irish Dietitians to attend Kings College London for advanced training with the new Low FODMAP diet (a highly effective nutritional treatment for bowel and digestive problems).
Ellen is currently an active member on the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI) and Self Employed Dietitians Ireland (SEDI). Ellen was previously the resident nutrition expert for The Today Show on RTE 1 Television for a series also. Outside of work hours, she is kept busy with two young kiddies and her in free time enjoys horseriding and walking her dogs and in the great outdoors.

Leona Courtney Registered Dietitian
Leona Courtney is a Registered Dietitian from Co. Monaghan. She originally

obtained a First-Class Honours Degree in BSc. Human Nutrition from University of Ulster, Coleraine in 2013. She qualified as a Dietitian from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Master’s Degree.
Since qualifying, Leona has worked in a variety of healthcare settings includin
g the NHS, HSE, private and freelance. Leona’s range of clinical experience includes; weight management, diabetes and endocrinology, heart disease, IBS and coeliac disease.
Leona is passionate about helping clients make the
necessary dietary changes to improve long-term health. She has a broad range of dietetic knowledge and is keen to provide accurate, up to date, evidence based, expert advice to ensure patients get the correct information to help them manage their condition

Laura Mahony Sports Dietitian

If so, Sports Dietitian Laura Mahony is here to help and guide you regarding personalised nutrition advice to achieve optimal sports performance. Former Connaught Rugby Dietitian (2016-2019), Laura also looks after our eating disorder clients at Nutri Vive. Laura has extensive experience of working across various teams such as GAA, Camogie, Ladies Football, Rugby, Hockey, Boxing, Athletics, Rowing, Golf etc
