Ellen Roche –  Registered Dietitian  & Consultant Nutritionist  MINDI  

 

 

 

We provide a professional nutrition advice service to assist clients of all ages who present with a vide variety of nutrition concerns.  Ellen has a special interest in helping clients to achieve weight loss, boost sports performance and to alleviate digestive disorders.  Our core aim is to always works with the client in a non-judgemental manner to achieve personal goals.

In 2011, Ellen was one of a very limited number of Irish Dietitians to attend Kings College London for advanced training with the new Low FODMAP diet (a highly effective nutritional treatment for bowel and digestive problems).

Ellen is currently an active member on the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI) and Self Employed Dietitians Ireland. A keen interest in sports nutrition and is currently Team Dietitian to the Wexford Senior Hurling Team and The Waterford Ladies Senior Football Team.  Ellen has previously been the resident nutrition expert for The Today Show on RTE 1 Television for the 2014 series.  We provide a complete range of corporate services including workplace wellbeing seminars, educational talks on a variety of health issues, new product development support for entrepreneurial food businesses etc.  Ellen also works on behalf of Spar Ireland as their consultant nutritionist on all health product and diet related matters.

Health Insurance

As we are Registered Dietitians and Members of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute, holders of private health insurance therefore usually receive a  €25 – €45 refund per consultation.

You can check your level of cover directly with VHI, Laya, Glo or Aviva Healthcare.   Health insurance also covers all of the packages listed above.

Important Notes:

Methods of payment:  Cash or cheque.
Always ensure you receive nutrition advice from a Dietitian who is registered with the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute and CORU
Tax Refunds: Fees may also be included on the MED.1 form to obtain tax relief.
Late Cancellation Fees:  Applicable if appointments are cancelled at short notice and not rebooked or in instances where an individual does not attend an appointment without providing any prior notification.

The clinic is located between Keane’s Pharmacy and Fallons Pharmacy on John St in Kilkenny city… half way between Langton’s Hotel and McDonagh Junction Shopping Centre.

Car Parking. There are several options for parking in KiIlkenny, all of which are all less than a one minute walk away from the clinic

  • Johns’ Green / Centra Supermarket
  • Opposite Johns Green (1 hour free parking)
  • In front of McDonagh Junction Shopping Centre
  • Johns St: On street parking


Driving times:  

Waterford 30 mins,  Clonmel 45 mins, Portlaoise 60 mins, Enniscorthy 60 mins

 

The Kildare Clinic

Vista Primary Care, Ballymore Eustace Rd, Naas.

Directions to Naas Clinic:  Take exit 10 from the M7 motorway.

From south kildare, take exit 10 on the motorway, turn Right on the roundabout, crossing over the motorway. See below for route.

From dublin or north Kildare, take exit 10 on the motorway.

All routes:  Keep left on the road, at roundabout (called Bundle of Sticks roundabout), take 1st exit onto R445 which is signposted for Naas.
(Aldi is located on your right and there are a number of car garages on the left.)

Go through next roundabout and stay on road for approx 1/2 mile.
At traffic lights turn right (need to get in right lane here and it is signposted for South Ring.
Go through next  two roundabouts
Take 1st exit at next roundabout called the Ballymore Eustace Roundabout) onto R411.  Drive for 1/4 mile and Vista Primary Care is on the left. There is on street parking opposite the centre  and car park also behind the building.

The Carlow Clinic

Dolmen Medical Centre, The Atrium, Shamrock Plaza, Green Lane, Carlow.

The Atrium building is located beside Bank of  Ireland and Sam McCauleys Chemist. Enter the Atrium and take stairs or lift to the first floor, turn right and Dolmen Medical practice is at the end of the corridor on the right.

Directions to Carlow Clinic:

On M9 Dublin – Carlow motorway, take Exit No 5 (exit is for Carlow, Rosslare, Enniscorthy).  Follow signs for Carlow and drive for 1.5 miles approx.  Drive throught the first roundabout, go straight through the Tullow Rd Roundabout (beside Lidl), go straight through two “mini” roundabouts, drive under a railway bridge.  At the Staplestown Rd roundabout, drive through it then you will come to traffic lights at an intersection.  Turn right at the junction, Shamrock Plaza and parking is on your immediate left side.
